The Junction Bistro – Food and fun for the family in Nottingham Road

The Junction Bistro play area The Junction Bistro

Leaving Natal on the freeway is too harsh an exit from a holiday in Durban, we prefer to adjust gradually, exiting via the Midlands Meander, stopping to revisit favourite places and discover new delights.  On our last trip we stopped for lunch at The Junction Bistro in Nottingham road for the first time.

The food was lovely and good value.  The setting gentle, a soothing way to say goodbye under leafy trees.

The Junction Archery

The child friendly atmosphere allowed the children to stretch their legs and play.  With each children’s meal ordered a child gets 3 free shots at Archery.  Fjord was so excited, the last of his 3 shots was a bull’s eye, had we not been anxious to get back on the road we would have paid for him to play longer at archery.

  1. This place looks lovely. We went through a period of travelling to and from KZN along the back roads from/to Mooiriver (I think) it is lovely, although we have never stopped along the way. Just used that way as an alternate route thinking it was shorter.

    • The midlands are really lovely, so many special places. I now have to go that route as I stock up on flavoured coffee’s at The Wine Cellar in Rosetta every time.
