Berg en Dal camp at Kruger National Park

The best thing about experiences is who you share them with. Last weekend we visited the Kruger National Park and Dad was able to join us. Our first 2 nights were spent at chalet 47 at Berg en Dal camp in the southern area of the park. There is an excellent walking trail around the camp, I’m not sure of the distance but it took us just over half an hour and you can shorten it.

I could have spent hours just watching the different sunbirds feeding on the Aloes. How fortunate to be there when the aloes were flowering. Dad got this lovely pic of this whitebellied sunbird
Dad spotted scarletchested sunbirds feeding on the aloes as soon as we arrived at Berg en Dal camp
A water monitor clearly took a dare to see how close he could get to the croc
The view from outside the restaurant area at Berg en Dal looks over a portion of river and dam. This hippo was hosting a few terrapins

Dad cultivated my love for the bush when he took us on family holidays to Lake Kariba and the Okavango Delta. I am now blessed to have a husband who takes us to wonderful places.
