Our 2008 spring flower trip birthed a longing to revisit the West Coast and Namaqualand.  On 3 September 2016 this desire became a reality.  Soon after leaving Cape Town roadside flowers greeted us.

Making it to the final day of the Clanwilliam flower show, displays in the Church whet our appetites for the journey ahead.

At the Ramskop wildflower garden just outside town, hosts of flowers lined footpaths begging to be explored.   In the totality of our wildflower trip Ramskop, Namaqua National Park and Darling were the places where we will remember the most impressive scenes of flowers en masse.  Of course this is not a firm yardstick as some areas were already past their peak and others tucked in their petals on cloudy days.

We did not spend a night in Clanwilliam, instead choosing Lamberts Bay on the West Coast for the evening.
